Enaer has been able to strengthen its capabilities
and human resources, both material and technical,
which have allowed it to perform major modifications
on various flight material, thus triggering an
increment of the tactical capabilities, or adding
new operating roles.
Among the jobs performed by Enaer are the following:
Modifying and Retrofitting Aircraft
Such activities have been performed on Aircraft
such as the F5-E (Air Refueling System), conversion
of Boeing 707 to the "Tanker" version,
and modifications to Mirage engines, such as:
- Modifying the fuel gravity loading system
to a pressure loading system.
- Incorporating an Air Refueling System.
- Stations 8 and 9, installing hard point on
frame 17 to increment the weapons capability.
- Installing "Canard" fins
- Modifying the nose to allow more space for
electronic equipment.
- Modifying the entire avionics
- Changing the cockpit panels and consoles
- Modifying the Hydraulic System, Fuel System,
and air-conditioning system.
- Changing the entire landing gear.
- Modifying the landing gear doors, and reinforcing
the entire cell.
- Installing the CME system (chaff and flares)
- Changing the entire wiring and electrical
bundles.
- Modifying the stick and throttle handle.

Other modifications on the avionics and oxygen
systems of Aircraft C-101 have been performed;
and, also, modifying and installing photographic
cameras on Learjet planes.
Likewise, since year 2001, Enaer has the experience
and capability to incorporate multi-function screens
(glasscockpit) in Aircraft like the Hércules
C-130, T-35 "Pillán", and DHC-6
Twin Otter.
Other main capability of this business area is
that of preparing technical publications. The
same requires counting on a high level of commitment
to the product, allowing to deliver reliability
and capability to the purchaser.
This way, Enaer has been able to meet the requirements
imposed by the Chilean Air Force, and by I.A.I
level or Casa companies, in the manufacturing
of Technical Manuals supporting its products.
